HEIC is read-only. No browser ships a HEIC encoder, and adding one would mean sending your file to a server — which is the one thing this site does not do. Convert HEIC to JPG, PNG or WebP instead.

Questions

Which conversions are supported?

Anything in to anything out. Read JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, SVG, AVIF, HEIC and PDF; write JPG, PNG, WebP and PDF. There is no combination that is not allowed.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Every conversion runs inside your browser on your own device, including PDF rendering and HEIC decoding. Nothing reaches a server — disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.

Can I mix formats in one batch?

Yes. Drop a HEIC, a PDF and a folder of PNGs together, pick one output format, and everything comes back converted. Each file is detected independently.

What happens to a multi-page PDF?

Converting to an image format gives you one image per page — pick all pages or type the ones you want. Converting to PDF instead keeps it as a single document.

Why can I not convert to HEIC?

No browser ships a HEIC encoder, so there is no way to write one without uploading your file to a server — which would break the entire premise of this site. Read HEIC, write JPG, PNG or WebP.

How does it know the format?

It reads the first bytes of each file, which identify the format regardless of what the file is named. A PNG saved with a .jpg extension is still detected as a PNG.
