How to do it

  1. Drop your EPS below.
  2. Output is already set to SVG.
  3. Press Convert and download the SVG.

Vector in, vector out

EPS and SVG both describe artwork as shapes rather than pixels. This page draws the EPS in your browser and writes each shape it paints into the SVG as a path, with its fill or stroke colour. The result scales to any size with no loss and can be edited in any vector tool.

Why SVG

EPS is a print format, and browsers and most modern design tools cannot open it. SVG is the vector format of the web. Browsers display it directly, Figma and Canva import it, and it can be pasted into HTML. Converting is how an old logo or barcode file becomes usable outside print software.

What changes along the way

The SVG is sized in points to match the EPS bounding box. CMYK colours are converted to their nearest screen RGB, because SVG has no CMYK. If the colours must stay CMYK for print, use EPS to PDF instead. Text in the SVG is whatever the EPS drew: barcode generators and most logo exports draw their text as shapes, so it comes through. EPS files that depend on fonts are not supported.

Questions

Is this free?

Yes. No account, no watermark, no cap on how many files you convert.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The conversion runs inside your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server — you can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.

Is the SVG really vector?

Yes. Every shape the EPS paints is written as an SVG path. Nothing is turned into an image along the way.

Can I edit it in Figma or Inkscape?

Yes. It is a plain SVG made of paths and colours, which every vector editor imports.

Are colours exact?

RGB and greyscale are exact. CMYK is converted to the nearest RGB because SVG has no CMYK. Use EPS to PDF when print colours must be kept.

Why can I only pick SVG for EPS files?

SVG output is only meaningful when the source is vector. Turning a photo into SVG would just wrap the pixels, so the option only appears for EPS, PostScript and older Illustrator files.
