A PDF is a fixed-layout document: text, vector shapes and embedded images placed on pages. A page is not an image until something draws it, which is why you cannot rename a PDF to .jpg.
This tool draws each page the way a PDF viewer does and saves the result. The reverse also works: the image-to-PDF page builds a multi-page PDF from images.
| Extension | |
|---|---|
| Type | Document (text, vectors, images) |
| Resolutions | 72, 150, 300 DPI |
| Converts here to | JPG, PNG, WebP (one image per page); PDF is also built from images |
| Not supported | Password-protected PDFs; PDF to SVG; extracting selectable text |
| Processed | In your browser; nothing uploaded |
Drop the PDF, type the pages you want (for example 1,4,7-9) or leave blank for all, and pick a DPI: 150 for screens, 300 for print. Each page becomes its own image; download them singly or as a zip.
Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened. Remove the protection in your PDF reader first.
Choose by what is on the page.
| Output | Best for | Note |
|---|---|---|
| JPG | Scanned pages and photo-heavy PDFs | Smallest; slight smudging on text |
| PNG | Text, diagrams, line art | Lossless; larger |
| WebP | Web use | Small; needs modern software |
